HO TRAM BEACH SHOWS ENORMOUS POTENTIAL FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

Stretching over 30 kilometers from Long Hai to Binh Chau, Ho Tram beach has emerged to become one of the best destinations in resort tourism. Several resorts project has been taken place in the area. 1.1. Tourism advantages of Ho Tram

Ho Tram has long been a popular destination for Vietnamese people. But not until recent years, Ho Tram has been invested in and developed, focusing on improving visitors’ experience.
While Vung Tau is always overcrowded during weekends and holidays, Ho Tram would be a better choice.

Travel to Ho Tram from Vietnam’s southwest region will be much easier as the project to build the Long Thanh - Ben Luc Expressway has been approved and is carrying out.
Cat Lai Bridge linking Ho Chi Minh City - Ba Ria Vung Tau, together with the expansion of major roads such as National Road No. 55, 56, 57, Ring No. road 3, 4 and Vung Tau – Xuyen Moc coastal roads, helps shorten the time to move from Ho Chi Minh City to eastern provinces and reduce traffic congestion at Cat Lai beach during rush hours.
It takes only around 2 hours to go to Ho Tram from HCMC by car, motorbike or other public transport.

Long Thanh International Airport

These days, visitors to Ho Tram are mainly from HCMC or neighboring provinces. Once the Long Thanh International Airport puts into operation, with a capacity of 100 million passengers annually, flights to Ho Tram would increase sharply.

1.2. Number of tourists to Ho Tram

Statistics suggest that Ba Ria – Vung Tau welcomed over 16 million tourists in 2019, with only 10,000 resort rooms. Meanwhile, the number of visitors to Phu Quoc, Da Nang, and Nha Trang are around 6.4 to 8.7 million and resort rooms in these provinces are reckoned to roughly 18,000, 40,000, and 49,000, respectively.

Statistics also show that the Ho Tram sea area served the highest number of tourists stay in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. In 2019, revenue from tourism activities reached over VND1,84 trillion ($US8 million). As Savills reported, with a number of fewer than 3,000 rooms, Ho Tram ranked first in the proportion of hotels and resorts reopened after the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in 2020. The occupancy rate here was always over 80% on weekends.

“Ho Tram has what it takes to become a tourist destination on a national level. According to the land use plan for the period of 2020-2030, there is up to 5,000 hectares of land fund to be used for the development of resorts and entertainment in Ho Tram”. Said the president of the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau with confidence.

2.1. Lodgis Hospitality pours capital into Ho Tram

Ho Tram Strip is an integrated resort project that prepares resort real estate for “take-off” in the future.

The Ho Tram Strip project has a total area of 164 hectares, a total investment of up to $1.4 billion and will be exploited and managed by HTP, a subsidiary of Lodgis Hospitality.

Ixora Ho Tram by Fusion is the newest project in the 5-star resort project of Ho Tram Strip, developed by HTP. This project has 5-star condotels, beach villas, and resort villas, with 164 condotel units and 46 beach villas situated along the coastline.
The project, managed by Fusion Hotel Group – a hotel management company under the ownership of Lodgis, is expected to be completed and come to the handover phase in the fourth quarter of 2022. It is one of the most promising projects that bring excellent investment opportunities today.

2.2. Evaluation of resort market in Ho Tram
